Join us on Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 4:30-6:30p.m. at the DHS SBHC to learn about the new construction project and find out how you can support your local School-Based Health Centers! We recently received a federal grant for $485k to build a new SBHC at DHS. However, this does not include operational costs, and we need your help.

Our Mission
The mission of Durango School District 9-R, an innovative educational system committed to excellence, is to ensure each student develops the skills and attributes for lifelong learning and has the ability to compete and contribute in the global community, by guaranteeing equitable educational opportunities in a safe and healthy environment.

Park Elementary School held their Geographic Bee on January 15, 2013. Congratulations to fifth grader, Diego Salinas, who won the bee and had the opportunity to take the written test. One hundred of the top scorers on this test are eligible to compete in the Colorado Bee on April 5, 2013. Good luck Diego! We would also like to congratulate fourth grader, Ian Swan who took second place.
We are proud to offer writing training for community members who wish to support our efforts to improve student writing across the district.
